Top 3 NFL ‘Over/Under’ Plays – Week 6
For the fourth week in a row the ‘over’ bet had the advantage with nine games scoring more points than the total line and five scoring less. The total average number of points scored in each game came in at 45.6 which is the highest average so far this season. The lowest was in Week 1 at 36.6. Two games combined for the most points at 62; Jacksonville’s 36-26 win over Buffalo and Oakland’s surprising 35-27 win over San Diego. The least amount of points scored was 28 in Indianapolis’s 19-9 victory over previously undefeated Kansas City; leaving all 32 teams in the league with at least one loss.

New Orleans @ Tampa Bay Over/Under 43
New Orleans’s offense has been a shell of its former self so far this season. The passing offense led by QB Drew Brees is ranked fifth in the league but the Saints are ranked 31st in running the ball mainly because of injuries to Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas.
Tampa Bay has got to 3-1 part way because of a much improved pass defense that is ranked ninth in the league. The Buccaneers are still having trouble scoring points on offense, averaging just 18.5 per game.
The total has stayed ‘under’ in Tampa’s last six games against the NFC South. The Total has stayed ‘under’ in six of the Saints last seven games against the NFC South. The total has stayed ‘under’ in 11 of the last 16 games between these two teams. The Pick: UNDER

Atlanta @ Philadelphia Over/Under 43
One of the biggest surprises about Atlanta this season is how well its defense is playing. The Falcons are ranked 10th in yards allowed, second in points allowed; giving up an average of just 14 per game, and +7 in turnovers.
Philadelphia’s defensive pass coverage, which was one of the weakest areas on this team last season is currently ranked eighth in the league, giving up an average of just 192.4 passing yards per game.
The total has stayed ‘under’ in nine of Atlanta’s last 11 games overall. The total has stayed ‘under’ in six of the last seven games played between these two teams and in three of the last four played in Philadelphia. The Pick: UNDER

Tennessee @ Jacksonville Over/Under 45
Tennessee continues to find ways to put points on the board by using every means at its disposal. Despite the fact that the Titans’ offense is ranked 26th in total yards per game and 28th in passing yards, they are ranked fifth in scoring; averaging 26.4 points per game.
Jacksonville’s defense has had trouble stopping anyone so far and is ranked near the bottom of the league in total yards and points allowed per game. The Jaguar’s offense is averaging 21.4 points per game, ranking it 13th in the league.
The total has gone ‘over’ in four of the Titans last five games against the AFC and in five of their last six games played on grass. The total has gone ‘over’ in the Jaguars last five games against the AFC and in five of their last six games played on grass. The Pick: OVER
