Philadelphia is currently in sixth-place in the Eastern Conference and close to clinching a spot in the postseason, but hardly looks like a playoff team with six losses in its last 10 games. The 76ers followed-up a 111-99 loss to Miami this past Friday night as an eight-point road underdog with a 114-111 OT loss to Sacramento as a nine-point home favorite on Sunday. They are now 37-36 straight-up on the year and 43-29-1 against the spread.

This team continues to show some solid balance on offense with four players averaging at least 14 points a game. Elton Brand leads the way with 14.8 points and is the team’s leading rebounder with 8.5 a game. Andre Iguodala and Jrue Holiday are each averaging over six assists a game and Lou Williams is adding 13.9 points off the bench.

The Sixers are averaging 98.4 points a game and shooting 46.2 percent from the field. They are hitting 36.1 percent of the shots from three-point range and converting on 77 percent of their attempts from the foul-line. Philadelphia is ranked 10th in the NBA in rebounds with an average of 42.1 a game.

Chicago continues to roll towards locking-up the top spot in the East with nine wins in its last 10 games including a 99-96 victory over Memphis on Friday as a nine-point home favorite and a 95-87 win over Milwaukee as a 5 ½-point road favorite this past Sunday. The Bulls are now 53-19 SU (45-25-1 ATS) and have a two game lead over Boston in the conference. Chicago has the best home record in the East at 32-4 SU (23-11-2 ATS).

Derrick Rose has made a strong case for league MVP this season with 24.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 7.9 assists a game. When healthy, Carlos Boozer has also been a force with 17.8 points and 9.8 rebounds a game. Joakim Noah has been hampered with a thumb injury for most of the season, but he still leads the team in rebounds with 11 a game.

The Bulls are averaging 98.5 points a game and are second in the league in points allowed; giving up an average of just 91.1 a game. This is the best point differential in the NBA. Chicago is also ranked second in rebounds with 44.4 a game and also has the best differential against its opponents in this category as well.

Philadelphia is 2-4 ATS in its last six road games and 2-6 ATS in its last eight games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in six of its last seven games.

Chicago is 4-1 ATS in its last five games at home and 8-2 ATS in its last 10 games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in its last five games.

Head-to-head, the Bulls have won three of the last four games SU, but the 76ers came away with a 105-99 victory as a one-point home underdog in early January. The total has gone ‘over’ in four of the last five meetings.

The odds makers have the Chicago Bulls as a -10 point favorite with an over/under of 192.

This time around it is a safe bet that Chicago keeps its home winning streak alive, but the Sixers have a good shot at keeping this game closer than 10 points. The best play in this one could be on the ‘over’ as recent trends point to a higher scoring total than the 192 point line.
