Orlando is set in fourth-place in the Eastern Conference and will most likely face Atlanta in the first round of the playoffs which start this upcoming weekend. The Magic are 6-4 straight-up in their last 10 games and coming off a 102-99 loss to Chicago on Sunday as a six-point home underdog. They are currently 50-30 SU overall and 33-46-1 against the spread with two games left to play in the regular season.

Sunday’s loss to the Bulls was primarily because Dwight Howard was out of the lineup while serving a one-game suspension for picking-up his 18th technical foul of the season in last Wednesday’s game against Charlotte. Howard, along with his team-high 23.1 points and 14.1 rebounds, is expected to play against the Sixers.

The Magic, with Howard in the lineup, are averaging 99.4 points a game while giving up an average of 94.1 which is the sixth-best scoring differential in the league. They are shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 36.6 percent from three-point range. Orlando is also +3.04 against its opponents in rebounding with an average of 42.9 a game.

Philadelphia is limping into the postseason with just one win in its last four games. The Sixers are coming off a 98-93 victory over Toronto this past Friday as an 11-point home favorite. This followed a devastating 97-92 loss to New York as a five-point home favorite, that dropped them to seventh in the Eastern Conference standings. They are 41-39 SU overall and 46-33-1 ATS.

One of the reasons for Philadelphia’s recent woes is the loss of Lou Williams, who has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury. Williams is averaging 13.7 points and 3.4 assists a game and will most likely be out until sometime during the first round of the playoffs. Elton Brand and Andre Iguodala have provided a good chunk of the offense this season for the 76ers. Brand leads the team with 15 points and 8.4 rebounds a game, while Iguodala is averaging 14.1 points and 6.3 assists.

Orlando is 2-4 ATS in its last six games on the road and just 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in three of its last four games.

Philadelphia is 2-4 ATS in its last six home games and also 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games overall. The total has stayed ‘under’ in six of its last seven games.

Head-to-head, the Magic have won nine of the last 10 games SU including two of three in this year’s series. They came away with a 99-95 victory on Feb.9 as a one-point road favorite after beating Philadelphia 99-98 in overtime as a nine-point home favorite on Jan.19. The total has stayed ‘under’ in all three games this season.

The odds makers have the Philadelphia 76ers as a -2 point favorite with an over/under of 190.5.

Prediction: This time around the 76ers should once again be a slight home underdog and will be hard-pressed to come away with a victory even in front of the home-town crowd. Stick with the Magic to win and cover in this one.
