NBA Preview: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

It’s do or die time for the LA Lakers as their season is getting back on track with a .500 record. After a one point win last game against the Atlanta Hawks, the 30-30 Lakers hope to contend with the dominant Oklahoma City Thunder.

LA Lakers

Kobe Bryant is coming off a 34 point game against the Hawks to face off against the Thunder on the road. They currently sit in third place in the Pacific Division, but that is not good enough if they hope to make a run in the playoffs. The Lakers have won six of their last ten games and are finally clear of any significant injuries. Steve Nash is making his mark, leading the team in assists with 7.2 per game, along with Dwight Howard who leads in blocks and rebounds. Things are looking up for Bryant and friends, however, the chances of taking down the power house Thunder are slim to none.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder are riding a two game winning streak, and have won seven of their last ten games. The 43-16 Thunder are nearly unbeatable at home with a 26-4 record. They won their last game against the Clippers by four points and are sure to take that momentum home with them. Kevin Durant leads the team in points per game with 28.6 along with rebounds with 7.8. As long as Durant and Westbrook move around the Lakers defense, this one should be in the bag.

Many sports books and sports betting sites like the Thunder over the Lakers. It will take a small miracle for the Lakers to take this one on the road. This could be a safe bet for NBA betting fans. On average the Thunder score 105 points per game compared to the Lakers 102.3. This game could be close, so look out for over/under lines listed well above 200 points.
