Baylor Bears vs Sam Houston State Bearkats Preview & Prediction
The Bears have spent all season proving they are no fluke, gaining respect from everyone. They can and must control the pace of the game, because they don’t play well when forced to move quick. They feature a duo of shooters led by the dynamic Dunn who can score, and is good for 20 plus a game, and Carter who can shoot from distance. They have a strong frontcourt that can block and is athletic as well. To win they need to keep possession of the ball and hope Walton can overcome freshman nerves and provide some scoring.
Sam Houston is a good offensive team who can shoot from downtown, but to win need to push into the paint. Clavell may be able to provide the tempo by drawing fouls and shooting inside which he can do. They need to focus early on the defense, and make the opposition work inside. They have seen some high digit losses, and keeping threes to a minimum will keep them in the game.
The odds makers have the Bears -11-point favorites.
Baylor will take control early on cruising to a comfortable double digit victory.
