Princeton will be looking for its seventh straight victory when it hosts Brown in its conference opener on Friday evening in the last of three Ivy League tilts.

Attempting to overcome their 0-2 record against top 100 teams, Brown will be looking for its first Ivy League win after it was unable to overcome a poor shooting (26-percent) performance in a 59-51 loss to Yale in New Haven in its last outing. Sean McGonagill registered his first career double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, but it would not be enough to lift his team to victory.

Meanwhile, the Tigers rolled past the College of New Jersey 73-40 Sunday afternoon at Jadwin Gym, as Kareem Maddox led the Tigers with 21 points on 9-of-10 shooting and 12 boards for his second double-double of the season after a 30-point, 10-rebound game on Nov. 28 against Siena. Douglas Davis was also in double figures with 12 points for the Tigers as he continues his run for 1,000 career points, now standing at 938.

Brown and Princeton will be meeting for the 118th time, dating back to 1907-1908, with the Tigers holding a 92-25 series advantage. Brown has won seven of the last nine meetings between the two teams, including a 57-54 win in Princeton last February. The Bears have won six of the last eight games at the Tigers.

The Tigers are better statistically just about everywhere on the court, but the Bears do hold the advantage in free throws.

If Princeton can stay out of foul trouble avoiding sending Brown to the charity stripe, they should cover the spread in this one.
