California Golden Bears vs Louisville Cardinals Preview & Prediction
Cal cruised to a title but may have trouble against tougher opponents. Randle is the key here, but has been streaky all year. He hits everything from the line and has ability at the perimeter. Add in Christopher and Robertson and you will see some outside shots. Gutierrez is a good defender but lose scoring opportunities when he comes in. The bench is not a threat scoring wise, so the team will hope its three point shot is on.
When Louisville is shooting for percentages they win, when they let the opposition out shoot them they lose. After suffering some losses to weaker foes, one must question if they can survive here. They lack any star talent, and will rely on Sosa as he finishes a so so career. While everyone is capable, who can step up to be the driving force? Samuels may be the key as he has done it in the past.
The odds makers have the Cardinals as - ½ -point favorites.
I look for Cal to win this one with better shooting, draining a buzzer beating three in the final seconds.
