The Golden Griffins are coming off their best season under Tom Parrotta, but they still were under .500 and failed to crack the top six in the standings. They’ll be an experienced bunch with potentially four senior starters and a Big East transfer in South Florida’s Gaby Belardo. But if 15-17 was the best the Golden Griffins could do with stud point guard Frank Turner, who graduated, it’s worth asking – what will they manage without him? Canisius will need continued improvement from Julius Coles, who figures to be the focal point of the offense.
