While things can change quickly in a couple of months, Louisville has currently rocketed towards the top of the college basketball futures. Head coach Rick Pitino, however, knows that they’ll need to continue to capitalize on big opportunities like this one if they want to keep the Dukes, Michigans and Indianas of the nation at bay.
How the Cards fare over the course of the rest of their time in the Big East will have a direct impact on how this program finishes the season and with what seed they’ll enter the tournament, all of which makes the impending clash one of the most compelling on the NCAA moneyline.
While Syracuse has stormed out of the gates to a 16-1 record, and an unbeaten 4-0 mark in the Big East, they haven’t faced an opponent even remotely as highly ranked as Louisville.
