2009-2010 Delaware Season Preview
The Blue Hens were able to score, but had numerous defensive deficiencies that spelled doom last season. They were at the bottom of most of the key defensive categories in the CAA, so coach Monte Ross’ priority is defined. He returns three double-digit scorers in Jawan Carter, Brian Johnson and Alphonso Dawson. Carter was sixth in the league in scoring and Johnson was second in assists. Both stand below 6-0, but are consistently efficient. Dawson, the team’s returning leading scorer and second-leading rebounder, finished the season by scoring in double figures in six consecutive games.
