2009-2010 Marist Season Preview
Chuck Martin, a former Memphis assistant, introduced the Tigers’ dribble-drive motion offense in Poughkeepsie in his first year, much to the delight of forward Ryan Schneider, who flourished. Problem is, Schneider has graduated, along with point guard David Devezin. Martin probably needs another few years to stabilize the roster. High on his priority list should be finding a scorer to replace Schneider. Marist’s leading scorer among returning players is R.J. Hall, who averaged only 6.9 points. At least a few of the five freshmen, will have to make an impact if the Red Foxes hope to get to the middle of the pack.
