2009-2010 Northern Illinois Season Preview
The Huskies experienced a four-game increase in the win column last season, and should receive another bump with four starters returning. After so many injuries and defections the past two years, coach Ricardo Patton seems to have the right players to make a move upward, starting with Darion Anderson, Mike DiNunno and Sean Kowal. Center Michael Fakuade should move into the starting lineup to replace Sean Smith, the only letterman gone from a year ago. There are many reasons for optimism, and Patton seems to have a solid foundation on which to build.
