Pittsburgh Panthers vs Oakland Golden Grizzlies Preview & Prediction
Pittsburgh has played above expectations all year, and made everyone take notice. Gibbs stepping up was a big reason. He is the go-to player in the clutch. Dixon is the best defender on the team while Woodall and Brown carry the bench. It is an undersized team but they can rebound.
While there are some potential scorers they lack consistency, so the key will be getting points and showing that the season was not a fluke.
Oakland knows how to score led by Benson, who will land in the NBA. He can block, shoot free throws, and opens up opportunities for other players, who tend to shoot for three too often. Cushingberry may be able to provide a presence to take heat off of Benson. The supporting cast can rebound but is limited elsewhere. The team had trouble against elite competition and to overcome, they need Benson to be the man yet again and choose wisely on threes.
The odds makers have Pitt as -10 -point favorites.
Look for Oakland to hang tough initially but fade as the game progresses as the Panthers dominate the glass to take the win.
