2009-2010 Princeton Season Preview
Off a 6-23 disaster in 2007-08, coach Sydney Johnson has the revived Tigers back to respectability. Still, despite all the key pieces returning, it’s going to be tough to challenge Cornell for the Ivy title. Last season, no league team had more surprise players than Princeton: the backcourt of freshman Douglas Davis and unheralded Dan Mavraides each averaged double figures, while center Pawel Buczak, another little-used player, was a standout in league games. Forward Kareem Maddox has flashed excellence but needs consistency, and center Zach Finley and forward Patrick Saunders will be big contributors off the bench if they remain in that role.
