2009-2010 Rider Season Preview
It’s hard not to be optimistic about a roster that includes Ryan Thompson, one of the most dynamic and versatile players in the league. Playing mostly point guard, he ranked in the league’s top 11 last season in eight statistical categories, including second in scoring. Offense isn’t likely to be a problem for this team, but the defense, which allowed 71 points per game (ninth in the MAAC), could stand to improve. If it doesn’t, Rider probably still is looking at another top-five finish in the standings. But if it does, the Broncs will be among the teams that could unseat Siena.
