Syracuse Orange vs Vermont Catamounts Preview & Prediction
Syracuse plays like a team on a mission, with total team chemistry and offensive awareness. They employ an excellent zone defense which makes them a final four favorite. The key is Onuaku, who went down with injury. If he is near 100% all is well. If not, there isn’t much depth to cover it. Johnson can score from anywhere on the court, as well as block and rebound, and may be the dark horse they need to make it happen. Triche has played above his experience.
Vermont is looking to make the opposition sweat. Blakely has great hands and instincts that can force things to happen. Joseph shoots from outside and the at the line. The two combined can really turn up the heat. The bench has size and skills in Accaoui. Field is playing with purpose and may provide the emotional jolt the team needs. If Blakely can match his skills up to tougher opponents, look out.
The odds makers have the Orange as -17 ½ -point favorites.
Expect Syracuse to show why they should have been the No. 1 overall seed with a blowout of Vermont in this one.
