Oklahoma State has hit a speed bump after starting the year 15-2, losing its third of its four including a 76-57 pounding by the Baylor Bears their last time out.

The Cowboys were outplayed from just about everywhere on the hardwood as Baylor controlled both shooting and rebounding. The Bears shot 60 percent from the field while the Cowboys ended the contest with a dismal 39. Baylor took advantage of OSU, creating more time of possession along with quality shot selections while out rebounding the Pokes 40-19.

Oklahoma State’s Markel Brown led the ‘Boys with 16 points in 34 minutes on the floor while Matt Pilgrim posted a game-high five steals.

Meanwhile, Texas moved to a perfect 4-0 in Big 12 play and has found itself back in the top-10 nationally, after beating Kansas 74-63 in Lawrence on Saturday.

The ‘Horns are led by sophomore Jordan Hamilton who is averaging 19.5 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. He is aided in the frontcourt by freshman forward Tristan Thompson who is averaging 13.1 points and a team-high 7.6 rebounds per contest. Also averaging double figures is senior forward Gary Johnson (11.8 ppg) and freshman guard Cory Joseph (11.2 ppg). Texas’ other top scorer is sophomore guard J’Covan Brown who is averaging 9.8 points per game off the bench.

The Cowboys lost 69-59 the last time the two teams met back on Feb 24, 2010, and trail in the overall series 24-11 since 1980.

The Pokes are a much better team at home for sure, but Texas’ Hamilton should be enough to end the Cowboys amazing home winning streak in this one.
