2009-2010 The Citadel Season Preview
Ed Conroy has the Bulldogs barking loudly after the 2008-09 season saw them become the most improved team in the nation with a 14-win improvement from the previous year. Their 15 league wins were the most in school history and their appearance in the College Basketball Invitational was their first ever postseason tournament. The Citadel loses leading scorer Demetrius Nelson, but returns the rest of its components as Cameron Wells and lach Urbanus comprise one of the league’s most formidable backcourts. Wells was a factor on the glass and dished out a team-high 100 assists. Urbanus and Austin Dahn are sharp-shooters from 3-point range. The key will be to find a post player who can score as Nelson did.
