Vanderbilt Commodores vs Murray State Racers Preview & Prediction
Vanderbilt lacks a star but also is extremely balanced all around, proving they can win away from home. They have veteran leadership and the ability to shoot anywhere on the court. Should they lay bricks from three point land there will be trouble. The big men see the line often and Ogilvy can dominate. The bench is able to come in and get the job done in many areas. Beal has stepped up his scoring and taken the reins in his final season. Taylor is NBA bound. Jenkins is dangerous and could step up as a scorer from the bench.
The Racers play an in your face style and do everything pretty well. They don’t wear down despite their playing style and can bombard you with threes. Miles is solid, Jenkins is quick, and Canaan is a bench scoring threat. The team knows its limitations and because of that may be limitless.
The odds makers have Vandy as -3-point favorites.
I expect the Commodores to win scoring a much-needed 10-12 points from the bench to down the Racers.
