2010-2011 Wisconsin Green Bay Season Preview

Tod Kowalczyk moved the Phoenix close while at Green Bay, but never quite won a championship or played in the NCAAs, so he moved on to Toledo of the Mid-American Conference, leaving his top assistant, Brian Wardle, to see if he can move the needle. As a parting gesture, Kowalczyk took along freshman starter Matt Smith and Rian Pearson, who played significant minutes for the Phoenix, also as a freshman. Three incoming recruits – junior college transfers Steve Baker and Jarvis Williams, as well as Green Bay’s first 7-footer, Alec Brown – could be highlights, along with a pair of redshirt freshmen in 6-9 forward CLayton Heuer and 6-3 guard Derek Semenas.
