In a year with so much uncertainty, the Big 12 played out in grand fashion for its final voyage. Nebraska far and away proved it was the best team in the North, and Oklahoma did the same in the South. The Sooners win over rival Oklahoma State – at Stillwater – showed they’d progressed to the point of BCS-type material. What happens when they meet? It all depends on Taylor Martinez.

The lynchpin of the Huskers’ offense all year, if his ankle is healed, they can win. But is it? You can’t believe a word out of Nebraska’s camp with Bo Pelini at the helm. He will run subterfuge over any position if he thinks it might distract his opponent. His style is dug-in, trenches-type coaching. And see-through. Landry Jones is playing his best football of the year, and if he fails, DeMarco Murray is there to bust through. Ryan Broyles, the best wide receiver in the Big 12, isn’t a bad option either.

The odds makers have the Oklahoma Sooners as a -4.5 point favorite with an over/under of 54.

Prediction: T-Magic’s not 100 percent, don’t bet on Nebraska or your pocket will get bent.
