It’s all about the Longhorns and Huskers this week as the Big 12 says goodbye to one of its biggest rivalries. Nebraska heading to the Big 10 was a direct result of Texas’ Alpha Dog status in the league in the last decade and Nebraska’s inability to keep pace. That being said, the Huskers are the team with national title hopes in this nationally televised showdown.

vs.

Kansas State @ Kansas – 7:30 PM ET

Historically one of the worst – if not THE worst – in-state rivalry games in all of college football, there’s little buzz about this year’s version of the Sunflower Showdown after Nebraska’s beatdown of the Wildcats last week and KU’s overall ineptitude under first-year coach Turner Gill. Expect KSU running back Daniel Thomas to get back on track after a couple of subpar games.

Prediction: Kansas State by 21 – Bet Now

Odds: Kansas State: -3 – Kansas: +3 Over/Under: 50

vs.

#21 Missouri vs. Texas A&M – 12:00 PM ET

A tale of two quarterbacks dealing with adversity. Missouri’s Blaine Gabbert will start aftre getting banged up against Colorado last week. A&M’s Jerrod Johnson was called out by coach Mike Sherman for his erratic play after a loss to Arkansas. How each responds will determine outcome.

Prediction: Texas A&M by 3 – Bet Now

Odds: Missouri: +3.5 – Texas A&M : -3.5 Over/Under: 55.5

vs.

#20 Oklahoma State @ Texas Tech – 3:30 PM ET

The Cowboys have been living on the edge all season and coming out with wins. And with the wins, hopefully, has come some confidence. They’ll need it to deal with Tech’s Taylor Potts, a leftover gunslinger from the Mike Leach era. Does OSU’s luck run out here? We say…

Prediction: Oklahoma State by 7 – Bet Now

Odds: Oklahoma State : +3.5 – Texas Tech : -3.5 Over/Under: 69

vs.

Texas @ #5 Nebraska – 3:30 PM ET on ABC

The hate-filled vacuum Texas will enter once it crosses the Nebraska state line is something you have to wonder if they could possibly be ready for. Probably one of the most anticipated games in the history of Lincoln’s Memorial Stadium. Let’s all celebrate a century’s worth of hate!

Prediction: Nebraska by 14 – Bet Now

Odds: Texas: +9.5 – Nebraska: -9.5 Over/Under: 46.5

vs.

Baylor @ Colorado – 7:00 PM ET

Two teams with bowl hopes that rest on this game. Getting to the crappiest, low level bowl would be the accomplishment of a lifetime for the Bears. Probably wouldn’t even save Dan Hawkins’ job at CU. Always take the team playing for something.

Prediction: : Baylor by 6 – Bet Now

Odds: Baylor: -1 – Colorado: +1 Over/Under: 54.5

vs.

Iowa State @ #6 Oklahoma – 7:00 PM ET

Poor Iowa State. They try so hard. But they’re still Iowa State. Sooners serve up a healthy dose of DeMarco Murray and Landry Jones early.

Prediction: Oklahoma by 30 – Bet Now

Odds: Iowa State: +23.5 – Oklahoma: -23.5 Over/Under: 58.5
