It’s just one big weekend after another at this point in the season, and Missouri is in the middle of another one come Saturday. After last week’s HUGE win over No. 1 Oklahoma, the Tigers travel to Lincoln, Neb., to take on the Cornhuskers in what might be the de facto Big 12 North title game on ABC. It’s a great, afternoon matchup for college football fans with national championship implications thrown in for good measure. And anybody who likes a good wake can tune in for a late-night matchup between Colorado’s version of the walking dead, coach Dan Hawkins, and what should be a refocused group of Sooners.

vs.

#17 Oklahoma State @ Kansas State – 12:00 PM ET

By far the most difficult matchup to call this week. Two decent teams coming off of heartbreaking losses – and in Oklahoma State’s case, their first defeat of the season. In a game like this, don’t underestimate what home-field advantage might mean for the Wildcats, who have an offense that is starting to find different ways to score. Which makes this game winnable for them despite their terrible defense.

Prediction: Kansas State by 3 – Bet Now

Odds: Oklahoma State: -5.5 – Kansas State: +5.5 Over/Under: 68

vs.

Kansas @ Iowa State – 2:00 PM ET

We all know now: Iowa State is a pretty darn good team. They’ve beaten both Nebraska and Texas on the road the last two years and have adopted coach Paul Rhoads’ tough persona and will be looking at the Jayhawks and salivating with the thought of becoming bowl-eligible. And it’s hard to blame them because Kansas is the worst team in the Big 12 and starting its third-string QB.

Prediction: Iowa State by 28 – Bet Now

Odds: Kansas: +19 – Iowa State: -19 Over/Under: 57

vs.

Texas Tech @ Texas A&M – 3:30 PM ET

The biggest thing to remember in picking a winner for this game is something we never thought would even be a consideration at the beginning of this season: Will Mike Sherman go with embattled QB Jerrod Johnson?

Prediction: Texas Tech by 12 – Bet Now

Odds: Texas Tech: +7 – Texas A&M: -7 Over/Under: 59

vs.

#6 Missouri @ #14 Nebraska – 3:30 PM ET on ABC

The reward for Missouri beating the No. 1 team in America? They get to be the team that could make or break Nebraska’s season. Essentially the Big 12 North championship game, if the Tigers win here they make a claim as a legitimate national championship contender. And it all comes down to the quarterbacks – MU’s Blaine Gabbert and Nebraska’s Taylor Martinez. The top of the charts has been a pressure cooker this year.

Prediction: Nebraska by 7 – Bet Now

Odds: Missouri: +7.5 – Nebraska: -7.5 Over/Under: 55

vs.

#25 Baylor @ Texas – 7:00 PM ET

Baylor is ranked. Texas isn’t. It doesn’t get much weirder. And if you saw the Bears score 47 points and roll up almost 700 yards of offense in a win over Kansas State last week, you know they can score with anybody. And if you saw Texas lose to Iowa State IN AUSTIN then you also know what sort of fire-breathing, scholarship-threatening dragon Mack Brown has probably been … careers are on the line in this one for the Longhornsa.

Prediction: Texas by 10 – Bet Now

Odds: Baylor: +7 – Texas: -7 Over/Under: 53

vs.

Colorado @ #9 Oklahoma – 9:15 PM ET on ABC

If you’re an Oklahoma fan, this is surely the cure for what ails you. The Sooners can start getting down to the business of winning the Big 12 title here with national title talk out of the way after last week’s loss at Missouri.

Prediction: Oklahoma by 30 – Bet Now

Odds: Colorado: +24 – Oklahoma: -24 Over/Under: OFF
