NCAA football betting players should be gearing up for a big weekend on the gridiron as three of the power conferences will have their championship games. The ACC, Big 12 and SEC will hand out their crowns, and one of the games will have a big say on the national-title picture.
Auburn South Carolina Betting – Saturday, 4:00 PM ET
The No.1 Tigers are 5.5-point favorites at the Georgia Dome in the SEC title game, and the No.19 Gamecocks would like to avenge a 35-27 loss at Auburn back on September 25th. Cam Newton rolled through South Carolina in that game, and he’ll be eligible to play this week, which isn’t good news for the Gamecocks. Even those who watch NHL scores should watch this game, as we could be seeing one of the final games of the best college player to come along in years (yes, all you Tim Tebow fans, better than him). Take Auburn to cover in the SEC championship game, then head to Glendale for the BCS title game.
Florida State Virginia Tech Betting – Saturday, 7:45 PM ET
The No.15 Hokies are favored by four points at the Bank of America Stadium in this rematch of the 2005 ACC title game, which was won 27-22 by Florida State. The No.21 Seminoles have won four of the last five against the Hokies, and this figures to be a low-scoring affair as both are ranked in the top 15 nationally in terms of points allowed: we bet it’ll go under the posted total of 52. Quarterback play and turnovers will be the key to this game as both are led by senior pivots, but Virginia Tech’s Tyrod Taylor is playing in his third ACC title game, and he’s 2-0 so far. Still, we’re betting on Florida State to keep it within a field goal.
Oklahoma Nebraska Betting – Saturday, 8:00 PM ET
The No.9 Sooners are 6-point favorites over the No.13 Cornhuskers in Nebraska’s last Big 12 game, as they’ll be headed to the Big Ten next season. The Sooners have won four of their last five against the Cornhuskers, who have some serious troubles on offense. Quarterback Taylor Martinez has a toe injury, while their best receiver, Niles Paul, has a broken foot. Therefore, the Nebraska defense will have to work extra hard to keep Oklahoma off the board, and we don’t think there will be much of a chance for that. The Sooners are balanced and will wear the Cornhuskers down, and they’ll do enough to come away with another Big 12 title, this time at the lavish Cowboys Stadium.
