NCAA Football Preview: Michigan vs. Ohio State

As the season winds down, the Ohio State Buckeyes are looking to finish a perfect season against BCS Rival Michigan. Some analysts are calling it the biggest meeting between these two teams since 2006. College football betting does not get much better than this, as it is promised to be an exciting matchup.

Michigan has not had the greatest season this year, with an 8-3 record. If they want a chance at a title game that is outside the BCS they need to beat the Buckeyes this Saturday.  On many sports betting sites, the Buckeyes are listed as the favorite by about 20 percent. However, this time last year, it was Denard Robinson helped lead the Wolverines to a victory over Ohio State, 40-34. Also, Ohio is ineligible for a title game, meaning that if Michigan wins a long with a Nebraska loss, the tides could change for the Wolverines.

Ohio State should win this game, but sports betting can be a tricky business. To counter Michigan’s Denard Robinson, Ohio has Braxton Miller who some analysts say is just as mobile, and also has a better arm. Luckily for Ohio, Robinson has suffered a nerve injury and is not nearly as strong as he was a year ago. Backup Devin Gardner will take many snaps for the Wolverines and the Buckeyes should not have a huge issue handling the backup.

Some sports book reviews have the Buckeyes edging out the Wolverines by three points. This seems like a very fair prediction as the two teams are similar in skill, and although the buckeyes have a perfect season, the Wolverines are playing for their future.
