Penn State made short work of Youngstown State in its opener with a 44-14 win behind freshman QB Robert Bolden. Alabama knocked off San Jose State 48-3 with a punishing ground game that gained 247 yards. The Crimson Tide did not miss RB Mark Ingram against the Spartans but they will against the Lions. Penn State stays in this one until the end to give the Tide an early scare.
