Week 2 in the SEC brought no real surprises as all the top teams won the games they were supposed to with teams like Alabama and Florida doing so in convincing fashion. The biggest game within the SEC was No. 24 South Carolina’s 17-6 win over No. 22 Georgia. The Gamecocks moved up to No. 13 after the victory while the Bulldogs fell out of the Top 25. Besides the Gators and the Gamecocks, Kentucky is the only other team in the SEC-East that does not have a loss. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are the only two teams in the SEC-West that have a loss. All told there are now six teams in the conference ranked in the Top 25.

#12 Arkansas @ Georgia – 12:00 PM ET

The Razorbacks led by QB Ryan Mallet are off to a 2-0 start with a 31-7 win over Louisiana-Monroe while Georgia is licking its wounds over a tough 17-6 loss to South Carolina. The Bulldogs have won nine out of the last 10 games straight up against Arkansas and is 6-4 against the spread.

Prediction: Georgia -2.5Bet Now

Odds: Arkansas: +2.5 – Georgia: -2.5 Over/Under: 54

Vanderbilt @ Mississippi – 12:21 PM ET on ESPN3.com

Vanderbilt is coming off a 27-3 thumping at the hands of No. 15 LSU as a 10 ½ point home underdog. Ole Miss rebounded from an opening day loss with a 27-13 win over Tulane. The Commodores have beaten the Rebels two out of the past three years SU and is 7-3 ATS against them in the past 10 games. Vandy finds a way to keep this one close.

#10 Florida @ Tennessee – 3:30 PM

Florida QB John Brantley looked better in the Gators 38-14 win over South Florida last week. Tennessee is coming off a disappointing 48-13 loss to No. 7 Oregon as a 10 ½ point home underdog. The Gators have won seven of the last 10 games in this series SU including the last five, but they are only 5-4-1 against the Vols ATS.

#1 Alabama @ Duke – 3:30 PM ET on ABC

Alabama made short work of Penn State with a 24-3 win that utilized a relentless ground game that should get RB Mark Ingram back this week. Last week Duke lost a 54-48 shootout with Wake Forest as a 5 ½ point road underdog. The Crimson Tide are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games.

Clemson @ #16 Auburn – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN

Clemson is 2-0 but failed to cover in either game as a prohibitive favorite. Auburn battled its way past Mississippi State 17-14 to move to 2-0. The Clemson Tigers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games against the ACC; while the Auburn Tigers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. There is only One thing is for sure in this one; the Tigers will win this game.

Odds: Clemson: +7.5 – Auburn: -7.5 Over/Under: 55

Mississippi State @ #15 LSU – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN

The Bulldogs look to bounce back after a tough loss at home, but they will have to do it on the road against a team that has beaten them 10 straight times. LSU is also 10-3 ATS against Mississippi State in the last 13 games of this series. This is the first single digit spread in the last nine games between these two teams.

Akron @ Kentucky – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN3.com

The Zips are coming off a 38-37 OT loss to Gardner-Webb after losing to Syracuse 29-3 in their opener. Kentucky is coming off solid wins over Louisville (23-16) and Western Kentucky (63-28). Akron is horrible, but the Wildcats fail to cover as they get caught looking ahead to next week’s game against Florida.

Odds: Akron: +25 – Kentucky: -25 Over/Under: 50.5

Furman @ #13 South Carolina – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN3.com

Furman’s only game this season was a 45-15 win over Colgate last week. Coming off their big win over Georgia, the Gamecocks have to be careful to not get caught sleeping in this game. Count on the old ball coach Steve Spurrier to have his team ready to roll.
