The SEC went 10-2 in its Week 1 season openers with Georgia’s 35-21 loss to No.4 Boise State as a three-point underdog and Mississippi’s 14-13 loss to BYU as a two-point home dog, the only two casualties in the conference. LSU’s impressive 40-27 victory over then-No.3 Oregon as a three-point underdog moved the Tigers to No. 2 in the latest AP Poll with Alabama right on their heels at No.3.

Here is a brief preview of all the games in Week 2 along with the current point spread as provided by BetOnline.com.

vs.

Central Michigan @ Kentucky  - 12:00 PM ET on ESPNU

The Wildcats are coming off a 14-3 win over Western Kentucky as a 16.5-point home favorite. They now face a Central Michigan team that beat South Carolina State 21-6 as a 20-point home favorite. Kentucky gets to 2-0, but once again, fails to cover.

Prediction: Kentucky 24 – Central Michigan 20 – Bet Now

Odds: Kentucky: -11 – Central Michigan: +11 Over/Under: 47

vs.

#20 Mississippi State @ #23 Auburn – 12:21 PM ET on ESPN3.com

Auburn has won nine of the last 10 meetings with Bulldogs straight-up and is 7-3 against the spread. This will be the first time the Tigers are the underdog over this span and for good cause after struggling to beat Utah State as a 24-point home favorite in their opener.

Prediction: Mississippi State 28 Auburn 14 – Bet Now

Odds: Mississippi State: -6.5 – Auburn: +6.5 Over/Under: 56.5

vs.

Cincinnati @ Tennessee – 3:30 PM on ESPN2

Both teams are coming off blowout victories in their openers, but Tennessee is clearly the more talented team in this matchup. Look for the Vols to air it out against Cincinnati’s secondary in a big win at home.

Prediction: Tennessee 28 Cincinnati 20 – Bet Now

Odds: Tennessee: -6 – Cincinnati: +6 Over/Under: 53.5

vs.

#4 Alabama vs. Penn State – 3:30 PM ET on ABC

Alabama had its way with Jo Pa’s Nittany Lions in a 24-3 romp as a 14.5-home favorite last season. This year’s game is in State College, but the Tide roll again in a win that covers the spread.

Prediction: Alabama 28 – Penn State 17 – Bet Now

Odds: Alabama: -10 – Penn State: +10 Over/Under: 42

vs.

#12 South Carolina @ #19 Georgia – 4:30 PM ET on ESPN

The Gamecocks are just 3-7 SU against Georgia in the past 10 meetings, but have closed the gap with a 2-2 SU record in the past four seasons including a 17-6 win last season as a three-point home favorite.

Prediction: South Carolina 24 – Georgia 13 – Bet Now

Odds: South Carolina: -3 – Georgia: +3 Over/Under: 51.5

vs.

Southern Illinois @ Ole Miss – 6:00 PM ET on ESPN3.com

The Rebels have fallen upon hard times with just three wins in their past 10 games, but this matchup could be just what the doctor ordered to get a much needed win. There is currently no line on this game, but Ole Miss wins this one comfortably.

Prediction: Mississippi 34 – Southern Illinois 10 – Bet Now

vs.

UAB @ #22 Florida – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN3.com

This game will be UAB’s season opener after a 4-8 campaign in 2010. The Gators stomped all over Florida International 41-3 as a 34-point home favorite. Expect more of the same in this one.

Prediction: Florida 38 – UAB 10 – Bet Now

Odds: Florida: -23 – UAB: +23 Over/Under: 53.5

vs.

New Mexico @ #15 Arkansas – 7:00 PM ET on ESPNU

The only question in this game is can the Razorbacks cover the huge spread. After crushing Missouri State 51-7 as a 41.5-point home favorite in the opener, Arkansas may take a bit of a break on the Lobo’s this week.

Prediction: Arkansas 42 – New Mexico 16 – Bet Now

Odds: Arkansas: -36.5 – New Mexico: +36.5 Over/Under: 53

vs.

Connecticut @ Vanderbilt – 7:30 PM ET on ESPN3.com

The Commodores have a tendency to win a good majority of their non-conference games since they know they will not be winning too many conference games. UConn is one of the weaker teams in the already weak Big East.

Prediction: Vanderbilt 16 Connecticut 10- Bet Now

Odds: Vanderbilt: -2.5 – Connecticut: +2.5 Over/Under: 44

vs.

Northwestern State @ #2 LSU – 8:00 PM ET on ESPN3.com

There currently is no line on this game, but the Tigers could be in for a letdown after last week’s big win over the Ducks. If the line opens anywhere north of 40 points, jump on the Demons to cover.

Prediction: Arkansas 48 – Northwestern State 10 – Bet Now
