The SEC continues to dominate the 2011 college football picture with half the conference ranked in the AP’s top 25. Auburn made its way back into the rankings at No.15 after upsetting then-No.10 South Carolina 16-13 last Saturday. The Gamecocks slipped to 18th and Florida fell to 17th after losing to Alabama 38-10. Arkansas jumped from 14th to 10th after a huge 42-38 victory over Texas A&M. For the first time this season the SEC occupies the top two spots in the poll with LSU ranked first and the Crimson Tide ranked second after leapfrogging Oklahoma by one spot.

vs.

Mississippi State (-16.5) @ UAB – 12:00 PM ET

The Bulldogs take a break from their conference schedule in a matchup with the 0-4 UAB Blazers from Conference –USA. Mississippi State is coming off a 24-10 loss to Georgia as a seven-point road underdog to fall to 2-3 straight-up (1-4 against the spread). The Blazers are 3-1 ATS in the last four games of this series, but will struggle to keep this one close enough to cover.

Prediction: : Mississippi State 34, UAB 13 – Bet Now

Odds: Mississippi State: -16.5 – UAB: +16.5 Over/Under: 53

vs.

Kentucky @ #18 South Carolina (-21) – 12:21 PM ET on ESPN3

The 2-3 Wildcats stunned the 4-1 Gamecocks 31-28 last season as 5.5-point home underdogs, but do not expect the same result against a South Carolina team that is looking to take the frustration of last week’ loss to Auburn out on someone. Steve Spurrier’s team is 9-1 SU and 6-4 ATS in the last 10 games against Kentucky.

Prediction: South Carolina 42, Kentucky 17 – Bet Now

Odds: South Carolina: -21 – Kentucky: +21 Over/Under: 43

vs.

#17 Florida @ #1 LSU (-12.5) – 3:30 PM ET

The 4-1 Gators take on their second-straight top five team in a brutal stretch of their conference schedule and they will have to do it without their starting quarterback John Brantley, who is out with an ankle injury. The 5-0 Tigers are just 1-5 ATS against Florida in the last six meetings, but playing at a level that will make it extremely difficult for the Gators to keep this one close.

Prediction: LSU 33, Florida 14 – Bet Now

Odds: LSU: -12.5 – Florida: +12.5 Over/Under: 41.5

vs.

Georgia (-1) @ Tennessee – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN2

The Bulldogs have strung together three wins after a 0-2 start and playing their best ball of the year. The Volunteers have jumped out to a 3-1 start with one of their best teams in recent memory. The home team in this series has won the last four games SU and is 3-1 ATS. Look for Tennessee to avenge last season’s 41-14 pasting as an 11.5-point road underdog with the straight-up win at home in this year’s contest.

Prediction: Tennessee 21 Georgia 20 – Bet Now

Odds: Tennessee: +1 – Georgia: -1 Over/Under: 56.5

vs.

#15 Auburn @ #10 Arkansas (-10.5) – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN

This is the second of the Tigers four straight games against ranked opponents in the SEC with Florida and LSU waiting in the wings. This series has been evenly split at five games apiece both SU and ATS over the past 10 meetings. Arkansas will be extremely tough to beat at home, but Auburn is more than capable of keeping this game close enough to cover.

Prediction: Arkansas 23, Auburn 16- Bet Now

Odds: Arkansas: -10.5 – Auburn: +10.5 Over/Under: 63.5

vs.

Vanderbilt @ #2 Alabama (-28.5) – 7:00 PM ET on ESPNU

The Commodores are off to a surprising 3-1 start after winning just two games all last year, but they are in way over their heads in this one. Alabama is a perfect 10-0 SU in the last 10 meetings, but just 4-6 ATS. After big wins over Florida and Arkansas the Tide might take their foot off the gas a bit in this one allowing Vanderbilt to cover with the huge spread.

Prediction: Alabama 35 Vanderbilt 13 – Bet Now

Odds: Alabama: -28.5 – Vanderbilt: -28.5 Over/Under: 41.5
