Washington vs California | Predictions

NCAA Football Free Pick – Saturday, November 27, 2010

vs.

Washington (4-6, 3-4) at California (5-6, 3-5), 3:30 p.m., CSN CA

The Huskies showed a little life, and what might be a little last minute hoorah as they whipped UCLA on Thursday to end their three-game losing streak.

Now they are playing for their lives in what appears to be the second PAC-10 bowl-elimination game of the week.

Quarterback and Heisman hopeful bust Jake Locker, will no doubt want to repeat last year’s performance in which he lead his Huskies to a dominating 42-10 win over the Golden Bears.

Cal is a different team at home — at least until being blown out by Stanford last weekend — but can its offense get on track? They will lean hard on RB Shane Vereen.

If one thing can be gleaned from last week’s loss, it’s that backup quarterback Brock Mansion is getting better with the short passing game and is making progress at sustaining drives.
