Week 5 for ACC teams is almost upon us and teams are in full scurry mode for potential Bowl bids. There are certainly some intriguing matchups on Saturday with the marquee matchup coming when Clemson visits Virginia Tech. Will there be some upsets this weekend? There likely will!

Wake Forest (-2 ½) at Boston College – 12:30 PM ET
Boston College proved last week that they still have a little fight left in them. Wake Forest will be rested after their bye and should be motivated knowing that a Bowl game is certainly within their grasp. Wake Forest QB Tanner Price will be the difference in this game in what should be a closer game than most may think. Forest is still the better team any way you slice it!
Prediction: Wake Forest -2.5 – Bet Now

Towson at Maryland (-24.5) – 3:30 PM ET
Maryland was brutal last week against Temple. Lucky they have door mat Towson on the schedule. This game should be a blowout!

Idaho at Virginia (-16 ½) – 3:30 PM ET on ESPN3
Virginia will win this game but they are not quite who we thought they were. Idaho is terrible offensively and they are just as bad defensively. Although 16 ½ points may look tempting, I expect Virginia to win by at least three touchdowns in this one. Quarterback Michael Rocco has to be better this week doesn’t he?

#21 Georgia Tech (-10) at North Carolina State – 3:30 PM ET on ABC
Georgia Tech had a surprisingly hard time against North Carolina last week and could have an equally difficult time this week. NC State may not have the same defensive prowess and North Carolina but they are a team that plays hard. I like Georgia Tech to win but the game to be closer than most expect.

Odds: Georgia Tech: -10 – North Carolina State: +10 – Over/Under: 63

#13 Clemson at #11 Virginia Tech (-7) – 6:00 PM ET on EPSN2
Is anyone as unimpressed with Virginia Tech as I am? Is anyone as impressed with Clemson as I am? Clemson has beaten two ranked opponent in consecutive weeks and is proving that they are legit. In a somewhat huge upset, take Clemson on the road and watch Virginia Tech eat a little humble pie.

Duke at Florida International (-3) – 7:00 PM ET on ESPNU
Duke’s defense has been masterful – 5 quarters without allowing a touchdown. FIU has been decent this season posting wins over Louisville and Central Florida but Duke’s defense and the improved play of QB Sean Renfree will be too much for FIU.

North Carolina (-6) at East Carolina – 8:00 PM ET
North Carolina needs a win and – a loss versus Georgia Tech has put them behind the eight ball in the standings. Expect a tough game with Giovani Bernard being the difference in this one. Six points is awfully tempting but I like a motivated North Carolina team to cover the Spread.
Prediction: North Carolina -6 – Bet Now
Odds: North Carolina: -6 – East Carolina: +6 – Over/Under: 58.5
