Now that the 2011-2011 season is approaching, here are our season AFC South team previews & predictions from the top NFL handicappers.

2011 Houston Texans Preview

The biggest pretenders every year are the Houston Texans. Every year since the snatched up Matt Schaub from the Falcons, everyone has jumped on their bandwagon again and again, and they have disappointed time after time. Going into the offseason, they needed to improve their defensive backfield, but failed to do so, but nonetheless their offense is a potent as anyone’s with Andre Johnson catching the ball and Arian Foster taking it from the backfield.

2011 Indianapolis Colts Preview

The diamond of the south, the Colts have dominated all other opponents in their division for as long as I can remember. This offseason their main goal was to retain their free agents that including Peyton Manning and Joseph Addai. They did so, and the team is coming back the same way it looked last year. Manning did have neck surgery, so there is some questions floating around as to whether he will be able to stay on the field, but don’t buy into them. If Manning has shown one thing throughout his career, it’s that he comes back from everything, ready to wage war on every opponent during the season.

2011 Jacksonville Jaguars Preview

The Jaguars knew that their David Gerrard window was closing, so they did the right thing and drafted a young quarterback. But this year should be Gerard’s last season to show what he can do before he hits the free agency market. I’d expect him to perform well while he tries to raise his net worth in 2012. The team focused on defense during free agency, and that should bode well for them, as their defense needed help mainly in the linebacking spots, and they bolstered that with Paul Pusluzney.

2011 Tennessee Titans Preview

The Titans waved goodbye to their longest tenured coach when they fired Jeff Fisher this offseason. It will be strange for the organization, but they will get through it. It will also be weird though to see another face marching up and down the sidelines. The team went out and got Matt Hassellbeck after they bid farewell to Vince Young. In Hassellbeck they get a veteran quarterback who has had success in the playoffs even when his team was severely out-matched.
