The Chargers are coming off its third win in a row and seem to be making a turn towards a run at another  AFC West championship, while the Colts are coming off a devastating loss to the Patriots in a game where Peyton Manning tossed three interceptions.

Now he faces the NFL’s No. 1 pass defense.

The Colts need a win if they want to remain in a very close four-horse race for the AFC South title, while the Chargers are only a game behind the Kansas City Chiefs.

With both teams posed to take ownership of its respective divisions, there is still plenty of reason for both of these teams to play well.

San Diego has put up impressive numbers but it has not equated into wins until recently. Injuries remain a concern for this team but the return of Vincent Jackson could certainly help.

Much is the same for the Colts are their group has also battled injuries all season long.

Both Phillip Rivers and Manning will surely be throwing often, but this game will be won on the ground and on the defensive side of the football, two areas that the Chargers have the edge.

The odds makers have the Indianapolis Colts as a -3 point favorite with an over/under of 51.5.
