College Football Week 9: A Few Safety and Small Gain Picks a Possible Upset as Oklahoma takes on Notre Dame

NCAA football betting presents a unique and exciting opportunity for sports betting sites. Each time has an identity and a team spirit that is independent of money. They players are playing for the love of the game and for the chance to play in the NFL. Their fans are loyal despite the team changing every single season. The real opportunity if for the unthinkable, the one-in-a-lifetime happening (Boston College’s WHOOP play anyone? “The band is on the field, the band is on the field!”) College football gives the change to win big if you bet on the underdog. This week presents a lot of games that are basically already decided. These are safety picks. However, I see a chance for an upset as as Stanford goes up against Notre Dame.

Bookies will be flooded with picks for these games. The earnings will be low, but they will be an almost guaranteed win.

Game 1: (14) Texas Tech at (3) Kansas State, Saturday October 27th, 3:30 PM EST

This is going to be a tough game for the Red Raiders from Texas Tech. They do have a remarkable passing game, led by QB Seth Doege, who leads the Big 12 in passing yards. But the Wildcat secondary is very strong and the offence is skilled and efficient.

My pick: The Kansas State Wildcats

Game 2: (11) Mississippi State at (1) Alabama, Saturday October 27th, 8:30 PM EST

We’re talking about Alabama here. Remember, number one ranked Alabama? Mississippi State is a good team. They have played well this year and have not lost a game. This should be their first. The Crimson Tide ought to have little trouble handling their SEC rivals. AJ McCarron and Eddie Lacy will run the backfield with skill and the expectation of victory.

My pick: The Alabama Crimson Tide

Game 3: (5) Notre Dame at (8) Oklahoma, Saturday, October 27th, 8:00 PM EST

Call your bookie; I think this can be a good game! The Fighting Irish and the Sooners will face off in sunny Norman, Oklahoma. This game has the potential for excitement and upset for a variety of reasons. For one, both teams have a long history of football greatness. These two schools are great almost every year. This means that any game is never out of reach, even for the underdog. The Sooners have more offensive weapons in this game. Despite their one loss and only having played six games (compared to Notre Dame’s seven), they have still out produced them in the air and on the ground. The challenge will be on defence. If Notre Dame’s strong defensive core can hold back the weapons, they will win. However, if the Sooners can bust through, an upset could be brewing.

My pick: The Oklahoma Sooners

My pick: The Stanford Cardinal
