vs.

Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears
Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 1:00 pm ET on FOX

Pointspread: Bears -10
Over/Under: 40

The Seahawks defied the odds with their 41-36 victory over New Orleans as a 9 ½-point home underdog in last week’s game, but to completely upset the apple cart, they would have to win on the road where they went 2-5 this season. The good news is that one of those wins was a 23-20 victory over Chicago in Week 6 as a six-point road underdog.

The Bears only ran the 11 times in that first game against Seattle and QB Jay Cutler was sacked six times. This time around look for Chicago to put the ball into the hands RB Matt Forte as much as possible to keep the pressure off of Cutler. It will also rely heavily on a defense that was ranked ninth overall and gave up an average of just 17.9 points per game, which was fourth best in the league.

Seattle is 1-3 ATS in its last four road games and 4-6 ATS in its last 10 games overall. Chicago is 3-2 ATS in its last five home games and 6-2 ATS in its last eight games overall. The total has gone ‘over’ in the last five meetings between these two teams. It is time for Cinderella to leave the ball as the big bad Bears are licking their chops in this matchup. Chicago pulls away at the end to cover the 10 points.

The odds makers have the Chicago Bears as a -10 point favorite with an over/under of 40.
