Pete Carroll returns to the NFL after one of the most successful college coaching stints of all-time. Carroll won a pair of national championships at USC, but coming off a five-win season, the Seahawks have no primetime games. The Seahawks close the season with two of their easiest opponents according to last season’s standings — the Rams and Buccaneers. This is the kind of fortuitous scheduling that could benefit a team fighting for a playoff spot. Conversely, it could just be some wrangling for the top picks in the 2011 NFL Draft. Seahawks fans will be rooting for the former, but whether that happens remains to be seen.
