The first slot in the December 4 SEC title game was filled when No. 17 South Carolina won the SEC-East by knocking off Florida 36-14 last week. It was the first win for the Gamecocks in Gainesville in 13 tries. No. 2 Auburn filled the second slot out of the West with a division-clinching 49-31 win over Georgia last week as well. The Tigers still have to play No. 11 Alabama next week, but regardless of the outcome they still own the tiebreaker over No. 5 LSU by virtue of their 24-17 win over those Tigers a couple of weeks back.

Here is a brief look at every game in the SEC this week. All odds are provided by Sportsbook.com

vs.

Georgia State @ #11 Alabama – 7:30 PM ET on ESPN

Georgia State, a IAA independent comes into this game as one of the biggest underdogs this season. The Panthers are 6-4 on the year but they jump way up in weight class given the level of competition they have faced. This will be nothing more than a controlled scrimmage for Alabama (8-2) as it prepares for its showdown with Auburn next week so I doubt the Tide will look to run up the score.

Prediction: Georgia State +57.5Bet Now

Odds: Georgia State: +57.5 – Alabama: -57.5 Over/Under: OFF

vs.

Troy @ #17 South Carolina – 12:21 PM ET on ESPN3.com

The Troy Trojans, out of the Sun Belt Conference are in perfect position to pull off an upset against a South Carolina team that is still celebrating its SEC-East Crown. With nothing on the line for the Gamecocks (7-3) this game has a good chance of being much closer than the 22 ½ point spread.

Prediction: Troy +22.5Bet Now

Odds: Troy: +22.5 – South Carolina: -22.5 Over/Under: 58

vs.

Appalachian State @ Florida – 12:30 PM ET on ESPN3.com

There is currently no posted line for this game, but this one will be much closer than you think. Appalachian State comes into this game with a 9-1 record and is the second ranked school in IAA. Florida (6-4) will most likely hang onto to win, but the beaten and battered Gators could very easily stumble to yet another defeat. With only six wins on the season, the only real motivation for Florida is to try to get to eight wins to land a possible New Year’s Day bowl.

Prediction: Florida -14.5Bet Now

Odds: Appalachian State: +15.5 – Florida: -14.5 Over/Under: OFF

vs.

Mississippi @ #5 LSU – 3:30 PM ET

Mississippi (4-6) has been just dreadful this season and comes into this game having lost four out of it last five games. Last week they were crushed 52-14 by a Tennessee team that was favored by just 1 ½ points at home. LSU (9-1) still has national title hopes but is running out of games to gain ground in the BCS rankings. Look for the Tigers to pour it on to try and gain some extra style points with a dominating win.

Prediction: LSU -16Bet Now

Odds: Mississippi: +16 – LSU: -16 Over/Under: 51

vs.

#13 Arkansas @ #21 Mississippi State – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN

This is the best game by far on the SEC schedule this week as both these teams are looking to move up in the rankings before the bowl selections are made. Arkansas (8-2) comes in with a four game winning streak, while Mississippi State (7-3) saw its six game winning streak end last week in a 30-10 loss to Alabama. This game should come down to the wire so take the Bulldogs at home getting points.

Prediction: Mississippi State +3Bet Now

Odds: Arkansas: -3 – Mississippi State: +3 Over/Under: 53

vs.

Tennessee (-8 ½) @ Vanderbilt – 7:30 PM ET

Tennessee (4-6) is coming off its biggest win of the season and can still play its way into a bowl game with wins in its final two games so there is still something on the line in this one for the Volunteers. The same cannot be said about Vanderbilt, who is most likely just hoping for this season to end after losing its last five games by the combined score of 206-55.

Prediction: Tennessee -8.5Bet Now

Odds: Tennessee: -8.5 – Vanderbilt: +8.5 Over/Under: 49.5
