The 28-year-old righthander is 4-1 in six starts against the Rays with a 2.27 ERA, and he’s 3-1 in five home starts with a sterling 1.96 ERA.
The Angels should be the MLB betting favorites at home in this contest on Wednesday night, which will be the finale to a three-game set, and hitters shouldn’t expect to have a lot of success as Shields and Weaver have been two of the best pitchers in the American League so far this season, and they’ve been good against these teams. Shields will be looking to bounce back from a poor outing, while Weaver will be aiming to continue his solid pitching, and hope that his team can give him a couple of runs as they did against the Yankees.
