With Tim Hudson and Brandon Beachy injured, the Braves’ rotation depth is being tested and for game two of this series Atlanta starts Derek Lowe who is uncharacteristically struggling with his control of late.  Lowe’s five free passes were a season high agasint the Angles his last time out in game where he struck out five but gave up three runs on five hits over six innings.

The Braves are 9-0 in their last nine against the NL Central, 4-0 in their last four home games, while Cincinnati is 2-8 in their last 10 against the NL East, 1-7 in their last eight road games.
