2010 AFC Season Preview, Predictions Picks & Odds

2010 AFC PreviewWelcome to the best and most complete 2010 AFC Conference Preview available online. In less than a month 32 NFL teams will open their 2010 training camp to begin preparing for the start of another season of football. Every team has dreams of Super Bowl glory at this time of the year, but as the long grueling regular season starts to unfold, it will become evident which ones really have a chance of actually getting there. The following are my predictions for the 2010 AFC season.

AFC Division Winners – First Round Byes

Indianapolis ColtsIndianapolis Colts
With no real changes in personnel from last season as long as the Colts have Peyton Manning at quarterback they will continue to win games in bunches. Do not expect another 13-0 run, but they will win enough to secure home field advantage throughout.

San Diego ChargersSan Diego Chargers
Despite some labor unrest with a couple of key players, the Chargers still have enough talent to make another deep run this year. The fact they play in the West is also a huge advantage as far racking up enough wins to earn a first round bye.

Other AFC Division Winners

New England PatriotsNew England Patriots
Tom Brady should be finally back to form and if Wes Welker is ready to go by opening day the Patriots offense will be ready to roll. It will be their defense that prevents them from winning enough games to get a bye, but they will still be good enough to win the East.

Baltimore RavensBaltimore Ravens
This is as solid a team in Baltimore since the Ravens Super Bowl season. With WR Anquan Boldin as his primary target, QB Joe Flacco is poised for a breakout year. After a strong draft their defense should return to the dominant force it once was.

New York JetsNew York Jets
The Jets have high hopes for this season after making it all the way to the AFC Championship last season. No matter how much Rex Ryan talks about getting to the next level, a one dimensional offense will still stand in their way.
